Christina Fink, Ph.D.

Christina Fink obtained her Ph.D. in social/cultural anthropology from UC Berkeley in 1994. From 1995-1997, she worked for the Open Society Institute's Burma Project and served as the editor of The BurmaNet News. In 1997, she was awarded an Open Society Institute individual project fellowship to research and write Living Silence: Burma Under Military Rule (London: Zed Books, 2001). In 1999-2000, she served as a consultant for the National Endowment for Democracy, producing an evaluation of the Endowment's funding of ethnic-nationality related projects in Burma. She lectures and writes on Burma. A BBP Board member, Christina currently is conducting an 11-month leadership training program for multi-ethnic refugees in Chiang Mai.
